Should You Trust Them?

Should You Trust Them?

Is Your New Guy or Girl Trustworthy? 5 Ways To Trust Again.

By RYAN FRAZIER

Being able to trust your partner is crucial to the health and wellbeing of any marriage. When one partner has an affair it can destroy the trust they once shared and throw the survival of the marriage into jeopardy and if the marriage does survive the affair, how can you tell if your partner is truly trustworthy?

Here are five simple steps to determining your partner’s trustworthiness:

1. Bide your time.
In determining if someone is worthy of your trust, you should never be in any hurry to make up your mind. Finding out if someone is truly trustworthy requires time and seeing that person in many different situations and places. Take your time and make sure you are confident in your assessment.

2. Note suspicious behavior.
If your partner is taking frequent business trips or is routinely working late hours and it just feels wrong, it probably is. Trust your instincts and watch for suspicious trends.

3. Dependability.
The dependability of a person is a direct indicator of their dedication and ability to be relied upon. If they often break their promises or routinely don’t follow through with the things they say they will do, this could be a major warning sign.

4. Are they open with you?
An honest person who is comfortable with themselves should be open to expressing themselves freely with you. If your partner is willing to talk openly with you and let you in, it is a positive sign that they are being honest with you.

5. Are they willing?
It’s very important that your partner want you to trust them and that they make it a priority to maintain your trust. Your partner’s desire for you to trust them and be able to rely on them shows that they respect and appreciate you.
