Married for over 18 years and there was never any love



We met through a dating service.


Our marriage has always been devoid of romance and passion. I don't think we ever have loved each other. I married her because I figured no other woman would have me and she married me so she could have some stability in her life.


Honestly before we got married. Those feelings you get when you fall in love never happened. As I said, I married her because I figured I'd never find anyone else. It got much worse about 10 or 11 years ago. This is when the sex completely stopped.


I did nothing about it. I just sat in my own little world of misery longing for love and romance and sex. It wasn't until about 3 months ago that I couldn't take it anymore and I moved into my little space in the basement and started the divorce procedures.


I'm worried about my children. They are all teens and I see them getting into trouble. I want to actually be a better parent for them after this is done.


Don't mary someone you are not in love with!
