my life



we met in the military. we were stationed together.


i thought it was a good marriage but found out he was just existing according to him.


he told me one night that he was divorcing me and that he was in love with someone else and that he had not loved me in years.


i did not end the marriage, he did. I did go start my own account the next business day (two days later) and I went and pulled the money for a lawyer. I filed. He was going to anyway but I wanted to make sure my kids and I would be ok.


I am afraid he will change his mind before the divorce is through if she dumps him.  I am also afraid of how the holidays and our anniversary that will happen before it is final will affect me and my kids.


Don't keep telling him how you feel. I have been doing that and it opens the hurt all over and it doesn't help. They don't want to work it out. Also, go to counseling.
