courts not being fair with the economy thats hurting my business

Heres a question due to the economy? my small business is doing the worse its ever done in 20 yrs, as mine is like 100,000 other businesses going through same thing, our world is worse than in depression in 1929, i even have proof but why is it when it comes to my divorce the courts doesnt take that into consideration,  they feel all people lie about their income during a divorce something has to be done about this!!  and the guy who acts as acting judge what the hell wrong with these people? it should be a law that this is looked into and taken into consideration, hell dont they read the papers or watch tv

they read the papers, they watch tv, and some are even just as badly affected by the economy as you are -

the fact of the matter is, that law is law - and when it comes to the financial aspect of divorce, the process can seem very intrusive and unforgiving - but that is just as much for your protection as it is for the person you are divorcing. It isn't that you are considered a liar - when it comes to self employed people, it is not just about what is going on with your business RIGHT NOW - it has to do with prior profit as well as etimated future profit....that is why you have to provide so much.

Judges have to follow law and procedure - otherwise they are not doing their job - and what is going on outside of the court room, can't be a factor...law doesn't allow for that.

I agree with you 100%.

What if you worked for someone else and just lost your job because of the economy?

They'd probably say you did it on purpose to get out of paying support and hit you with a big support award anyway!

That does seem to be the mentality, and it does suck big time. At least for the people who get to pay. I'm sure the blood-sucking recipients like it just fine, though!

Darn...a little of my current bitterness just seeped into my comment. Sorry, not!
