Today I weighed in. My loss wasn't much. It was only .4 lbs. .4? I think I spit that just before I climbed on the scale. I don't know. I was a little disappointed. My body was sore from working out. I'll tell you that.
So there ya go. In my month I lost 9.4 lbs. Not bad, not great. Then again there are several factors, from minimal exercise (until this week) to my attempts at eating well outside the plan.
The good news is this. When I started the diet, my weight was going up. NutriSystem stopped that. It also gave me a plan.
Would I recommend it? To some, yes. If you're looking for a well balanced diet, that will help you lose weight gradually, then yes. If you're looking for a silver bullet to drop 40 quick pounds, no, but then again, I don't know if I'd recommend that kind of diet for anyone.
Would I do it again? I don't know. I could see where if the situation was right, I might. I didn't have a problem with the diet. It allowed me to eat, and the meals were much better than what I would have considered "diet food" to be.
Would I change anything? Yes. Knowing the food a little better I'd probably not go with the "Favorites" again. There were a few things I didn't really like. I didn't like the dried "cup-o-whatever." I would have ordered fewer of those. I also got way too many snack bars, in the breakfast, lunch and snack portions. I'm ok with bars, but only on occasion. Fewer of those and more real food items would have been my choice.
So you've seen my month. It's up to you. Will it work for you? Is it worth it? Whatever your choice, I hope you make it to stay healthy and happy, and I wish you the best in any of your dieting endeavors.
