How Important is a Good Attorney?

Divorces are painful. The level of pain depends on the amount of animosity shared between you and your ex.  Are you eager to just get out, our are you looking to exact vengeance? Another thing that can change your level of pain is choosing the right lawyer.

The wrong lawyer can leave you with a sense of instability. Can you trust them?  Will they fight for you if the need comes, or will they just waffle.  People need to put thought into who they hire to represent them in court, because that person will help shape their future.

That's why it's a good idea to decide what you need in a lawyer, and then, before you choose one, go out and interview at least four.  Find out their specialties, their qualifications, and most important of all, are they a good fit for you? A good lawyer doesn't need to be a money hungry shark, but somebody who can work well with the opposing lawyers and the judge to come up with the smoothest, and friendliest divorce possible.

My attorney was stellar. Expensive, yes; I'll owe him for the rest of my life, lol, but it was definitely worth it. Otherwise, I would have been screwed.

A good attorney is worth their weight in gold.

I interviewed four attys. Mine was the best for me I could have ever found. He wasn't cheap but worth every penny I spent. His reputation alone was enough to send my ex far away from me.
His atty. well whatever he spent he wasn't worth it. One of the reasons I didn't use him.
