Lost and Confused 

 

 

   It has been three years since I've been around my astranged husband and two years since I've been with a man at all. While I am a writer I don't make enough money to support my self right now and live with my adult children. Not the ideal situation but the best I can do for now. I am 50 years old and I haven't dated in many long years; being shy doesn't help. My children want me to date but when I tell them what I'm looking for in dating they laugh and tell me it doesn't work that way. Should I even be considering going on dates before I can get my divorce? Am I too old for dating at all?

My grandmother remarried at 85 years old, so, no you're not too old.

But maybe get your divorce on first.

Honestly, it isn't fair to anyone you meet, and possibly end up caring for (or caring for you) for you to still be married.

End one relationship before you look to possibly start another - be free and clear.
